I set up Pet Buddies in 2018. I have lived in Sutton Coldfield all my life and absolutely love animals! I started dog walking and pet sitting for friends and quickly realised it was my dream job. Following a stint at a local doggy daycare I completed my dog first aid and CPR course and also gained a certification in dog psychology.
Whatever your situation, we have a service that can work for you and your dog. Whether that’s a home visit, 1:1 walk or a pack walk we give you that all-important peace of mind that your dog or pup will still be having fun and human contact!
Pet Buddies has grown from strength-to-strength and is by no means just me! I am joined by a wonderful team who all love dogs as much as I do and have completed a thorough training program including Canine First Aid and are fully DBS checked.
I have lots of experience with all types of pets and numerous breeds of dogs and I completely understand the guilt we feel when leaving our pets alone for a long period of time. I love that Pet Buddies can help alleviate these feelings and make life a bit better for everyone.
Hi, I’m Carmel. After retiring from a long career, I was looking for something completely different (that had ‘no ‘in tray’!). I’ve always loved animals. I bred guinea pigs as a child and have owned many dogs and cats over the years.
Having recently lost my elderly dog, Finn, a cocker spaniel with bags of personality, I have a new puppy called Tilly! I love working at Pet Buddies. No two days are the same and the variety of dogs, and their individual personalities, definitely keep me on my toes!
I never forget how important they are to their families and treat them all just as I would my own.
Hi! About 15 years ago, after a varied career that included telesales for the AA, a postman and a drayman, I started my own dog walking service and absolutely loved it.
I have my own gorgeous 5 year rescue French Bulldog, called Barbara, and I was really excited when the opportunity to join Lisa at Pet Buddies came up. I love spending my working days surrounded by dogs (rather than people!!) and I love watching them play, interact together and have fun. Nothing makes me happier!
Hi I’m Caroline. You’ll find me at the end of the Pet Buddies phone answering calls, messages and queries on a daily basis. I also deal with your invoices and payments, plus any holidays or walk changes.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and even farm animals, so caring for them feels completely natural to me.
My journey with Pet Buddies began after my beautiful Weimaraner, Kimmi, passed away unexpectedly. She was my best friend, and losing her left a big space in my heart. Walking dogs has become a way to honor her and to keep that special bond with animals alive.
These days, I share my home with two cheeky cats who keep me on my toes. But nothing makes me happier than heading outdoors, breathing in fresh air, spending time with dogs and seeing them happy.
For me, dog walking isn’t just a job, it’s a way to connect with animals, giving them love, attention, and fun while giving you peace of mind that your furry friend is in good hands.
Hi, I’m Jo.
I’ve always loved animals especially dogs and that love has grown and grown the older I have got. I have a 5 year old Romanian rescue lab x called Bea and share an 11 year old Border Collie Dexter with my mom. I used to deliver Lisa’s parcels and noticed she had a dog walking business so started following her on Facebook and when I saw her advertising I knew I had to apply for the job.
I’ve been with the pet buddies team about a year and a half now and it’s the best job ever (even in the pouring rain). No two days are the same, the dogs always put a smile on my face even when they have selective hearing and do their own thing, I talk to them on the walks and I often think if people could hear me they’d think I’ve gone mad. It really is the perfect job for me.

Working here is a real joy of mine, I love taking all the pooches out on walks and keeping them happy and taken care of. Especially as we get to take in the wonderful parks of Sutton Coldfield together.
Hiya, I’m Beccy and recently joined Lisa and the team and I absolutely love it! I’ve always been around dogs and at the moment I am a dog Momma to a rescue Spanish Water dog from Spain and a crazy Cockapoo!!!
What I love about being part of Pet Buddies is that every day is different with a range of doggies all with their own unique personalities and quirks! It’s such a rewarding experience watching the dogs having fun and playing with each other.
I am completely crazy about dogs and even spend my holidays volunteering at rescue centres abroad! I treat every dog as if my own and definitely part of the Pet Buddies family.
At Pet Buddies, we love that we can help so many people; from working dog-owners, to people who have adopted rescue dogs, would like to give their dog some independence, need some support with behaviour or are elderly and find walking themselves difficult now.
